Our goal is to support excellent science through an excellent service. We are looking for an experienced management personality for the management of IT Security staff. In this function, you design and optimize the IT security management concept of FUB-IT, including planning and monitoring the implementation of created concepts.

You support the management of the FUB-IT in all legal and administrative matters and take over the representation of the ZE FUB-IT internally and externally in IT Security matters. You are responsible for planning, creating and implementing concepts for data protection and IT security. You advise on operating and backup concepts, as well as relevant redundancies. Your tasks include the independent request collection, prioritization and implementation for the design of IT security services and the observation, evaluation, detection and suppression of attacks on FU Berlin's IT infrastructure. You are also responsible for the creation, development, implementation and continuation of the IT process documentation of the FUB-IT incl. Assessment of IT security risks, implementation of protection needs analyses and the creation of risk treatment plans. You are responsible for the technical instructions of the Abuse Response team regarding the treatment of waste cases and IT emergencies. In this function, you coordinate IT emergency teams within the ZE FUB-IT as part of IT Security incidents. You are responsible for the management and organization of the FUB-IT change-advisory board. And you conduct consultations with supervisors, administrators and users in the field of IT Security and Abuse.

Completed academic studies (Master) in an activity-related field (e.g. IT security, computer science) or comparable expertise and experience. (Occupational)experience: A professional experience of at least three years in the field of the IT security of a university, knowledge of the IT organization and ITIL framework, as well as leadership experience is required for performing the tasks. Requested: We wish you: You provide sound knowledge and experience in the field of BCM, risk assessment methods (ISO 27000) and BSI standards. You also have excellent communication and presentation skills in German (C2) and very good English skills. A high level of self-initiative, a solution-oriented approach and a strong focus on enabling (enablement).
