Complete study of computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering or a comparable technical field Multiannual professional experience in the development of safety-critical embedded or avionics software Knowledge of modern software architecture methods and design principles Very good programming knowledge in C/C++, ideally complemented by knowledge in Ada, Rust or Python and detectable practical experience in the implementation of complex software solutions with pronounced hands-on mentality Real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux platforms Good knowledge of software development processes by V model or comparable development models Experience with model-based development and architecture modelling, e.g. with UML or SysML knowledge of avionics communication standards and protocols, e.g. RS-232, RS-422, ARINC 429, ARINC 664/AFDX, CAN or Ethernet Understanding software quality assurance, verification, validation, test automation as well as experience with version management, build systems and CI/CD environments
