Computer Science Engineer (m/w/d)

in the field of network management

Your tasks

• Ensuring network functionality (Firewall and Router)

• Conception and implementation of methods and software solutions for the stan-dardization and optimization of network operation

• Establishing, controlling and developing efficient processes for structured cooperation with other fields of expertise

Your profile

• a completed study (Bachelor/FH) in computer science or business informatics or

(m/w/d) with multi-year, relevant professional experience in the field of network management

What we require

• Analytical thinking and a structured working method

• Good English knowledge of word and writing

• Very good German knowledge

• Class B valid driving permit

Wünchenwert – but not a must

• Very good knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP)

• Finded knowledge of configuration via CLI of devices from the Cisco company

• MPLS, VPLS know-how and other transport technologies

• Good knowledge of the OSI protocol family, Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6 and routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP)

• First experiences in IT project management

Short presentation of the IT service centre

The IT service center is the central IT service provider of the Saarland administration. As part of the digitalisation of public administration, we support the local authorities with competent advice, project management, solutions and services based on eGovernment services, IT infrastructure, data center performance, web programming as well as with specific process applications.
