Number: MER0003TRN The Mercedes-Benz Cars Purchasing & Supplier Quality (MP) division is responsible for purchasing production material and supplier quality for Mercedes-Benz AG with an annual purchase volume in the double-digit billion range. In partnership with around 1,500 suppliers in Germany and abroad, the necessary materials are provided for the worldwide production plants of Mercedes-Benz Cars/Vans. Locations in Germany, South Africa, China, India, Mexico and Argentina ensure close proximity to production. New challenges exist in particular in the areas of autonomous driving, connectivity and alternative drives. The series management controls the purchasing and supplier quality topics from the strategy phase, the allocation, the change management, the sampling process and finally the start-up of each series. Our department represents the MP function area as project management of purchasing and supplier quality in all the large car series and decision-making bodies. These challenges include: Participation and coordination of activities related to the series management of the product project Large Cars Support for the coordination of pre-control of pending awards of the product project Large Cars Participation in the preparation and implementation of bodies and workshops regarding the change management of existing series Working with the organisation of project reviews as well as preparing cross-functional and international workshops Participation in the creation of documents for project bodies Working in preparing top management briefings The activity can start from January 2026.
