The IT Infrastructure team at JACOB Elektronik GmbH is looking for reinforcement! For the operation and continuous development of our Linux-based IT infrastructure, we are looking for you Senior Systems Engineer Linux (m/w/d) in full time (40h/week). At JACOB you take responsibility for our system architecture, operate and optimise complex infrastructures and integrate modern technologies such as container and orchestration solutions. You work closely with development teams, bring your expertise into technical decisions and actively promote the quality and sustainability of our IT landscape.

Your tasks: Our focus is on: Operation of our on-prem Kubernetes cluster and unification of our on-prem and AWS Kubernetes landscape Partial migration from AWS Workloads to on-prem Optimization of our database server environment Structure of Proxmox or Incus on-prem environment Introduction of Ceph Optimization of our Logging environment

Our tasks: building up and developing a sustainable target architecture and implementing technical solutions Operation, administration and maintenance of the responsible infrastructure including Consulting and support for developer teams in projects Implementation of evaluations and proof of concepts and seamless integration of new systems and technologies into existing infrastructure Creation and review of concepts, policy templates and documentation Continuous advancement of infrastructure quality and technical development Planning of technical tasks and transparent progress communication
