To strengthen our team of Schleswig-Holstein Netz GmbH, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer - Datastreaming and Services API (m/w/d)* for our location in Rendsburg or Quickborn near Hamburg.

Since 2023, Schleswig-Holstein Netz GmbH has been working together with its E.ON group sisters on the further development of the system management systems. Active cooperation in the group project and subsequent introduction of the new systems are essential for the success of the modern network management of the energy transition. As a DevOps Engineer, you develop the platform services for a new Kubernetes platform for all German E.ON network companies in a dynamic team of other DevOps Engineers. In addition to the development, you are responsible for the deployment and operation of these platform services together with the team.As a DevOps Engineer, you develop the platform services for a newly built Kubernetes platform that supports all German E.ON network companies. The focus of your activity is on the development, implementation and optimization of data streams with Kafka (preferably Confluent Kafka) within a Kubernetes environment. You are responsible for the development and implementation of data streaming architectures with Kafka for real-time processing. You set high standards: In close cooperation with other colleagues, you are working on Kubernetes, including automation and scaling. You’re packing up: Proactively you implement monitoring and analysis concepts to continuously improve the performance and stability of the data pipelines You are present: You take the presentation of concepts and results for different target groups and business areas, e.g. in the E.ON Group Project and also in the circle of network management. You are a competent contact person: In close cooperation with the departments at the SH Netz and other E.ON Group Sisters in the Group Project, you are looking for targeted communication and a very close cooperation to advance the topics of container operation, CI/CDPipelines and platform integration.

You have a degree in the fields of information technology informatics/informatics/economic engineering or similar disciplines. You have an understanding of DevOps principles and have experiences with CI/CD pipelines. You are familiar with the operation of containers with docker and container orchestration on K8s. You have experience with Kafka operators (e.g. Strimzi, Confluent Operator) You have experience in developing and implementing data streaming solutions with Python, Java or C#. You are safe in handling requirements and their documentation with collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira. You are an enthusiastic networker and have fun to exchange and work with colleagues across corporate boundaries. You will find new ways to improve things and go forward with curiosity. Authentic communication is one of your strengths. You may participate in the standby service. You bring safe German knowledge (min. B2 with you).
