The library of the University of Music and Dance is currently in an exciting transition phase, characterised by a planned transition to a free-hand library, a digitalization at different levels and the further expansion of its service structure. The library is intended to become a central social meeting space beyond its core function as a knowledge store, promoting collaboration, inspiration and intellectual exchange. Your main tasks include: Library management with currently 27 employees Personal, professional and organizational responsibility for the conceptual and operational development of all locations of the University Library Budget responsibility Collection management, digital and conventional inventory development including e-media, streaming services, open access and open educational resource Library Services (acquisition, cataloguing/metadata, borrowing/consultancy, collection management, physical media) and Information Services (E-Media, Streaming, OA, Digitization) Strong user and service orientation Close cooperation with the disciplines and the artistic, scientific and educational courses represented therein Representation of the library in the university and the outside

Diploma librarian*in at master level or Master's degree in the field of library and information science with relevant professional experience or completed studies in music or dance sciences or another discipline of art or culture at master level and professional experience in a library (required for the career of the higher library service) Affinity for music and dance as well as the activities and contents of work at a university of music and dance Experience in implementing relevant digitalisation projects very good, practical IT skills and expertise in the library sector proven leadership competence good knowledge of German and English in language and writing Innovation joy, design strength Organisational and communication strength, team capacity economic, responsible and targeted work
