The University Clinic for Neurology and Neurogeriatrie (Director Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Christoph Redecker) at the University Hospital OWL, Lemgo site, is looking for the next possible appointment Senior Consultant (m/w/d) The Department of Neurology and Neurogeriatrics (Setting Key: 1-6-13) provides the entire spectrum of neurological diseases in the stationary area with 66 beds. She works in a consiliatric manner for all clinics of Klinikum Lippe GmbH and holds various special ambulances. In addition to a certified Stroke Unit with 10 beds, it has a neurogeriatric work area and currently 10 beds for early neurological rehabilitation (Phase B). All conventional ultrasound and electrophysiological diagnostic methods and extensive imaging methods (DSA, 3T-MRT, PET-CT, SPECT) are offered at the site. As part of the University Hospital OWL, there is the possibility to develop further in scientific projects and to contribute to student teaching. The clinic is also a member of various transsectoral networks and offers extensive opportunities for further education and personal development. There is an intensive collegial cooperation with neighbouring disciplines.

The above medical activity includes the clinical and organizational supervision in the field of station and outpatient care, with the performance of the background service, consiliar activity (also in the area of the clinic Detmold), the implementation of technical investigations as well as further training and leadership tasks.

We are looking a specialist in neurology that has a thorough clinical training and masters the specialist ultrasound and neurophysiological examination methods. Experiences in intensive medicine, acute care of stroke are as helpful as knowledge of electrophysiology and specialist DRG nomenclature.
