Geoinformatics specialist (m/f/d)

Since 01.01.2021, the Federal Highway GmbH has been responsible for around 13,200 motorway kilometers as the operator of one of the largest and most diverse infrastructures. To support our team in the special survey department, we are looking for you as a geoinformatic (w/m/d) at the next time.

Building quality-secured geodata management and geodata infrastructure (GDI) Introduction, maintenance and quality assurance of processes for the collection, processing and management of road-related geodata Conception and creation of maps, thematic plans, web graphics and 3D visualizations Analysis and evaluation of geodata using GIS and transformation tools Provision of data and web services (e.g. WMS/WFS) for internal and external users Administration and support of GIS projects, including training and consulting of the departments

Graduate degree in geoinformatics (Bachelor/Diplom-FH) or equivalent qualifications Multiannual experience in handling GIS software (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS) Knowledge of geodata processing, transformation, georeference Experience in handling large geodata stocks, metadata and data quality processes Knowledge in database systems, e.g. geoserver or Web service technologies

That would be desirable: Experience with open source GIS components and modern WebGIS technologies Knowledge of visualization methods, cartography and 3D representations Experience in process analysis, data modeling and data homogenization
