Head of Obstetrics – Perinatal Medicine – DEGUM-certified

The gynecology and birth aid of the Sophien and Hufeland Clinic covers a comprehensive range of services in all areas of female medicine. In the year, we treat more than 2,500 patients in a stationary manner in gynecology and child care. The birth aid is ideally equipped in prenatal diagnosis and perinatal medicine in person and medical and technical terms and ensures over 1000 pregnancy and approx. 800 births per year due to the close cooperation with the neonatology of the children's clinic with more than 300 early and newborns as the Perinatal Center Level 2.

In addition, the clinic is currently in the process of establishing a certified gynecological cancer centre, an endometriosis centre and a base and continuance centre.

Your tasks:

• Medical responsibility for childbirth care within the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics
• Specialized guidance of childbirth, including crisp hall, prenatal diagnosis and perinatal medical care
• Ensuring and further developing a high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred natal care at perinatal medical level
• Targeted, value-assurance guidance of the medical team of childbirth assistance and promotion of individual professional qualifications
• Further development of prenatal diagnostic offers (incl. DEGUM structures) and enhancement of perinatal medical priorities
• Close cooperation with neonatology, anesthesia, paediatrics, midwives and other disciplines involved
• Active participation in the medical and strategic development of the clinic in close coordination with the head physician, clinic management and management
• Promoting interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral cooperation, especially with established gynecologists
• Participation in the structured training and training of young medical staff and in advanced and advanced training formats of the clinic

Your profile:

• Consultant (m/w/d)
• Additional training Special birth aid and perinatal medicine
• Possible DEGUM certification (level II, ideally stage III)
• Multiannual clinical experience in childbirth, ideally with perinatal medical focus min. Level 2

• High sense of responsibility, organisational skills and economic understanding
