The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Prignitz offers a habitat and meeting place for children, young people and parents. Our help from a single source includes children's daycare facilities, early help, educational counselling centres, youth and school social work, a multi-generation house, a children's and youth campus centre and the urban children's village with two children's and youth groups, as well as two mother/ father-child groups in Wittenberge. In the SOS Children's Village Prignitz at our location in Wittenberge, we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in permanent employment, full-time or part-time (max. 38.5 h/w)

Then you will be part of our new team at the Inobhutnahmestelle für Todkinden in Wittenberge! As a social pedagogue in the pedagogical specialist service, you will accompany our youngest in a challenging and at the same time fulfilling work environment. Together with a multi-professional team of 10 colleagues, you create stable structures and support – for up to 5 children aged 0 to 6 years, in siblings also up to 8 years. In your role, you take on diverse and responsible activities: Recording and perspective clarification: You accompany the reception of the children, create development reports and develop assessments for perspective clarification, always in close cooperation with youth offices and the multi-professional team. Help and education planning: Together with team members and youth offices, you will design individual help and education planning to provide the children with the best possible prospects. Diagnostic services: You coordinate and carry out diagnostic measures to optimally understand and promote the individual needs of children. Funding offers: You plan and run offers for the promotion of skills that sustainably support the development of children. Quality assurance and advice: You advise the team in educational questions and ensure that our high quality standards are complied with in working with the children. Network work: You provide intensive exchanges with youth offices, therapeutic professionals and other relevant institutions to ensure the best possible support for children. Implementation of child and care protection: You consistently pay attention to the well-being of children and implement protection concepts sensitively and professionally.

Professional qualification: You have completed studies in social education or psychology or a comparable subject. Practical experience: Ideally, you have professional experience in working with infants or in observatory places. Communicative strength: You care about children, parents and colleagues who are facing and esteeming, and meet all participants with empathy and openness. Reflective personality: You act independently and purposefully, reflect your work continuously and remain humorous and solution-oriented in challenging situations.
