Become part of our Mechanical Engineering for Production Optics-Equipment team and are responsible for the machine development of innovative and highly complex special systems for manufacturing our optical systems. Work together with Team-ZEISS colleagues from a wide range of areas in the systematic development of high-end process systems and get a multi-layered insight into the production of semiconductor optics.

They work project-based in a team of 6 young, open people, where you can quickly find a connection, bring your ideas in and give incentives in a positive discussion culture. You have the chance to get involved in technical topics and create a large network through our matrix structure.

Acquisition of feed packages for new vacuum special installations or plant concepts for beam processing by means of electron or ion beams

Take over responsibility for individual components or total installations in machine development, from concept creation to transfer of the respective machine to production

Management of development tasks in cooperation with various departments

Creation of timetables for projects, integration processes and resources as well as independent maintenance of the necessary work package planning

Ensuring the delivery and performance of the components/machines in close cooperation with the internal and external project participants as well as continuous matching of the requirements

Determining, tuning and, if necessary, escalating solution variants for complex issues in the project sequence

completed studies in physics or mechanical engineering (master or doctorate)

Professional experience in the development of projects in special plant engineering or semiconductor technology

Confidence with plasma, laser, ion beam and/or electron beam processing systems

the willingness to work 60% of the time on site, to be active in the clean room during commissioning of the plants and to occasionally take a few days within Germany’s supplier appointments

German knowledge of C1 level and English knowledge of B2 level in spoken and written form
