Strategic and organisational management: You actively develop public youth assistance and bring legal requirements as well as higher-level objectives into a future-oriented and high-quality practice. You are responsible for the organizational and professional planning of the department, continuously review needs and coordinate the cooperation and delegation of tasks to free bodies. You design the strategic orientation of public youth assistance taking into account social, financial and legal developments. Innovative ideas, new concepts and the willingness to question and develop existing structures are expressly desired. You bring their own impulses and actively drive forward sustainable solutions. Quality and financial management: You ensure the legal and high-quality implementation of the various legal tasks. On the basis of a modern specialist control and process management, you evaluate auxiliary instruments, secure a high technical standard and control the qualitative implementation of the tasks (including in the help plan method). You take over the budget planning and the financial controlling for the department with business thinking and acting, control the outflow of funds in a targeted and cost-sensitive manner and use financial design spaces responsibly. Cooperation & Networking with Free Carriers: You work sustainably in partnership, in particular with free institutions but also schools, kita, counselling centres and the health care sector. You create pay agreements and performance descriptions, lead quality dialogues and set priorities. You represent the local youth assistance to the outside as well as in political bodies, in particular in the Youth Assistance Committee and in the working communities according to §§ 78 and 80 SGB VIII. Strategic networking with regional actors and cross-resort partners is of course for you. Human resources management, communication & crisis management: You run the Social Services Department with personnel, financial and organizational responsibility. You coordinate cooperation with important partners (clinics, police, schools, national youth) and master demanding complaint and crisis management.

Qualification: You have a successfully completed academic study of social work, or a comparable psycho-social degree (Diplom or Master). Alternatively, you have the capacity to the judges office and have successfully completed both legal state examina. Professional experience: You have at least two years of management experience in the social field, preferably in the field of social services in youth assistance, or in public administration. Expertise: Embossed expertise in the field of social services as well as sound knowledge and willingness to use various management techniques.

The Youth Office of the University City of Siegen consists of the Departments of Children, Youth and Family Promotion and Social Services as well as Social and Youth Assistance Planning and is assigned to the Department of Children, Youth and Family, Education Social, Living. As head of the Department of Social Services, you have the overall responsibility for a versatile and sensitive task field. The department is divided into the following specialized working groups, whose strategic leadership and coordination are in your hands: economic youth assistance, assistance, guardianships, maintenance committee, care agency, general social service (ASD) and integration aid. Together with your teams, you actively shape the social network of our city and ensure the quality of life of citizens in Siegen. .
