In your role, you take on your own responsibility the knowledge transfer for peritoneal dialysis, including the explanation of the process sequence, the dialysis material and the conditions for the process, both to patients and their relatives. You encourage patients to carry out peritoneal dialysis independently in the home environment. In this case, intensive training will also lead to possible disturbances and emergencies with the patients and train the countermeasures to be initiated. In addition, treat the peritoneal dialysis patients outpatiently, organize check dates in the kidney center and carry out regular home visits. You are significantly involved in the further development of peritoneal dialysis in the kidney center and work closely with the medical line. Another key part of your activity is ensuring the psychosocial support and motivation of patients and their relatives.

A completed training as a nursing specialist (m/w/d). Many years of experience and affinity for peritoneal dialysis are absolutely necessary.
