In the field of import & customs processing, you will contact your colleagues to ensure that our goods get to Germany smoothly and legally compliant worldwide. You are responsible for the smooth import processes for the production companies of the Eppendorf Group in Germany and for intercompany imports from foreign production companies.

In the entire import process, you implement all relevant customs and foreign policy provisions and keeps in mind changes in the legal framework. As a central contact person, you accompany internal areas such as operating and strategic purchasing, disposition and accounting as well as external partners such as forwarding, customs authorities and suppliers in all import matters. As part of your daily work, you secure the precise and regular tariffs and place goods correctly in the tariff. Risks and costs in import processing are recognised at an early stage, systematically evaluate them and introduce measures to minimize them. For a clean documentation, check and manage import documents such as commercial invoices, certificates of origin and freight papers and monitor the customs and import revenue tax deferral accounts. With regard to delivery dates, you follow shipments, coordinate consultations with forwarders, clarify product descriptions and documentation requirements with suppliers and process complaints as well as claims You also support audits and internal controls in import/export.

A successfully completed, relevant vocational training - for example in the field of forwarding and logistics services, wholesale and foreign trade management or a comparable qualification - forms the basis of your expertise in the import environment. Multiannual professional experience in the field of import or logistics allows you to safely control operational and organizational processes. In customs processing, in particular when transferring to free circulation, you move routined and implement the legal requirements. Ideally, you bring with you knowledge of special customs procedures (for example customs warehouses, active/passive refinement or simplified procedures) and apply them in a targeted manner. In cooperation with international partners and suppliers, you are so confident, using your secure English knowledge and taking into account cultural differences in communication. With common software, in particular SAP and the MS Office package, you work securely and analyze import data; Ideally, you also have experience in handling ATLAS and NCTS. In challenging situations, you stay structured, communicate clearly with different stakeholders and treat carefully as well as solution-oriented to achieve common results reliably.
