As a GPON Technology Engineer, you are responsible for the specifications of our fiber technology for the German fixed network at Vodafone. You are responsible for the professional management of external employees:in the Team Fixed Access Design. You are responsible for the specification of technical features of optical fixed access systems, execution of the alerts for system selection and ensuring acceptance and quality control in the laboratory. You are responsible for setting up budget approaches according to the Fixed Access Network requirements. You are responsible for designing and implementing scalable optical fixed access solutions in the consumer and enterprise sector. You are responsible for developing and implementing complex test and release scenarios of optical fixed access systems. You are responsible for designing and developing concepts for optimizing services and products. You are responsible for the cross-area definition of interfaces (system manufacturers, specialist areas).

What distinguishes you: A completed university degree (preferably electrical/television technology or computer science) or a comparable qualification. Multiannual experience (at least 5 years) in the development of services focusing on fixed network / DSL / GPON / business customer services. Very good knowledge of leading and packet-switching networks. Very good knowledge of access technologies such as GPON, new xPON, xDSL. An analytical mindset and a functional understanding in combination with a structured and result-oriented manner. Knowledge of German and English in word and writing (C1 to GER).
