Your work area includes the following tasks:

Concert dramaturgy:

• dramaturgical conception and supervision of the concert programmes of the Staatskapelle Weimar as well as in cross-species productions (Schauspiel und Musiktheater).
• active participation in the conceptual development of concert programmes in close cooperation with Chief Conductor:in, orchestra director and artistic office.
• dramaturgical accompaniment of programming as well as the development of content priorities and new concert formats.
• editorial work on the schedule of the Staatskapelle Weimar.
• Supporting all publications in the field of concert, including writing own contributions and extensive editorial work.
• Design of introductory lectures, artists: internal discussions and similar formats.
• Conception, organization and moderation of additional events in the concert area.
• Development and implementation of measures in the field of Audience Development for the development of new target groups and for the sustainable binding of the existing concert audience.
• Analysis of audience structures and participation in the strategic further development of public relations in close coordination with public relations and art and mediation.
• Network care and development in the city of Weimar, in the region and beyond.

Concert education:

• concerted educational and theatre pedagogical accompaniment of the schedule of the Staatskapelle Weimar through workshops, participative formats as well as preparatory and follow-up for kindergartens, schools as well as children and young people.
• Design and further development of the concert programme for young children, children and youth in close coordination with the artistic office and the orchestra director.
• Conception, organisation and support of various concert formats for school classes, families and other target groups.
• organisation and implementation of planned concerts for children, children and young people.
• Designing and launching new offers and strategies in the field of concert pedagogy.
• Networking with kindergartens, schools, actors:inside, external partners:inside and other institutions.

Your profile:

• completed studies of the humanities, dramaturgy or a comparable qualification.
• Professional experience in concert dramaturgy and/or concert pedagogy.
• very good repertoire knowledge from baroque music to contemporary music, as well as the willingness to expand it continuously.
• professional handling of the German language in word and writing as well as good knowledge in at least one foreign language.
• high oral and written communication skills.
• strong communicative skills in dealing with artists:inside, employees:inside the house, guest artists:inside as well as public and press.
• resilience, flexibility, team capacity, initiative and creativity.
• Interest and ideal experience in Audience Development and the development of new formats for addressing different audience groups.
• sovereign computer skills.
