Administrator in Unit A.I.3 – Technology in CBRN Protection (m/f/d)

The BBK is the head office of the Federal Government for National Crisis Management in Germany. We ensure the quality of crisis management in a central coordination role with federal, international and cross-sector partners. In view of this task, our interdisciplinary team is growing steadily. We are looking for dedicated professionals who want to make Germany more crisis-proof. We are looking until 31.12.2027 as soon as possible a specialist (w/m/d) Paying group 12 TVöD (Bund) A.I.3 – Technology in CBRN protection at the Bonn office.

Support for CBRN equipment elements – Through your activity you contribute to the optimal protection of personnel in CBRN situations. With your scientific and technical expertise, you will support innovative technical solutions for CBRN equipment and equipment elements and develop them further. Practical introduction – you actively accompany the practical introduction of equipment, especially CBRN exploration cars. You ensure the proper functioning of the equipment before the handover and maintain the actual handover with the operating forces. After the handover, make sure that any technical problems occurring after the handover are solved at the locations of the equipment. To do this, use the BBK's own ticket system and coordinate the incoming messages throughout the team. Technical testing – In our in-house laboratories, you can test up-to-date techniques with the help of modern measurement possibilities and match them with the current equipment. You shall check the individual components of the CBRN exploration trolleys delivered for their functioning in accordance with the requirements of the tendering conditions. In addition, check the respective overall system on the CBRN detection trolley and interact with the CBRN measurement guide component. Basic work – As a specialist/specialist, you can ensure in the team that application and tactics standards meet the current scientific and technical standards.

You have completed technical university studies (Bachelor or Diplom FH), for example in process and chemical engineering, safety engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. You have already collected at least 3 years of professional experience in a technical field. You can independently design, prepare and implement project measures in the interdisciplinary environment. Advantageous are prior knowledge of techniques and methods which are used in CBRN protection (ABC protection) (e.g. measurement technology, protection equipment, decontamination) or practical experience in these topics. Self-employed and solution-oriented work Ideally, you have already gained professional or voluntary experience in the field of civil and civil protection, e.g. through cooperation in a fire department, relief organization or THW. Ideally, you have a class B driving license, better class C. You are team-ready, service-oriented and possess communicative competence. You can work well into complex questions and quickly adjust to different expectations and take responsibility for your task. You have a very good German language expressiveness in word and writing (comparable C2 according to the European reference framework). You also have good English language expressiveness in word and writing (comparable to B2 according to the European reference framework). Occupied missions, including abroad, are open to you. Since our tasks are safety-relevant and event-oriented, we need your willingness to extend the safety review and to participate in the BBK crisis organisation.
