Together with Group R&D, You accompany innovative developments from idea to protection and identify proactive opportunities in the global IP landscape

In doing so, you conduct independent opposition and appeal proceedings in Germany and abroad, patent grant proceedings before the German and European Patent Office and work disclaimers from

You advise inventors and decision-makers of all GR&D units worldwide on matters of industrial property

You are also responsible for implementing the IP strategies

You monitor third-party rights, evaluate them and conduct Freedom-to-Operate analyses by

You are responsible for managing internal and external lawyers

high quality standards for their own work and a strong understanding of the economic contexts of the concerns of an internationally oriented industrial patent department

a university degree for electrical engineering, computer science or mechanical engineering

an admission as a German patent attorney and/or as a representative before the European Patent Office

several years of relevant professional experience in an internationally oriented industrial patent department

Experience with patent administration databases and research software or an industrial patent attorney law firm

very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing, preferably acquired or deepened during a stay abroad
