Cloud Developer (m/f/d)

Together with a cross-functional team of embedded, back-end and front-end developers as well as our external platform service provider, you are developing our cloud platform for connected field devices across the entire life cycle path. Design and answer a scalable cloud native architecture and control its operation by our service provider – including reliable and highly available data exchange via modern messaging technologies. You are responsible for and controlling the CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), which are used to automatically build, test and roll out our services into Azure services – defined by the infrastructure commissioning (Terraform/IaC). You control the external service provider along clear specifications, quality standards and SLAs and thus ensure a secure, stable and cost-effective platform operation. In addition, you are responsible for the secure connection of our control units to the cloud and bring your expertise to the construction and operation of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). You design powerful data pipelines for processing high-frequency measurement data and ensure their efficient storage and structuring in time series databases. In addition, you work to build a data evaluation platform and create the basis for data-driven applications such as predictive maintenance or remote diagnostics. You are responsible for solutions for bidirectional communication between the cloud and control units, enabling remote functions and over-the-air updates. Last but not least, you actively contribute your technical expertise to architectural and technology decisions and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

You have a successfully completed study of computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification. In addition, you will bring several years of experience in the development of modern software solutions and in the handling of cloud technologies. You have profound knowledge in the design, construction and operation of modern cloud architectures and data platforms. You bring well-founded experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps) for automated deployment of applications and services in cloud environments. Ideally, you already have external service providers or Managed service provider controlled and its services are responsible for SLAs. Ideally, you have experience in the environment of Public Key Infrastructures (PKI), time series databases as well as IoT or embedded systems. You convince by a structured way of working, strong team skills and the ability to understand technical issues. Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing complete your profile.
