Number: MER0003ZDF At the Mercedes-Benz Untertürkheim plant, we build the heart of our cars: highly efficient and pioneering drive systems such as batteries and motors for all Mercedes-Benz cars. We design the automotive generations of the future. We mean innovative products with the highest quality and efficient development processes. In close coordination with the development, planning and production areas, we work together on the electrified drivetrain to secure the technology leadership of Mercedes-Benz in the future. The Process Development team is primarily responsible for the introduction of innovative manufacturing processes for future drivetrain components and is the innovation provider for the electric drivetrain in the course of electromobility. In order to support our team in the implementation, generation and implementation of innovative, energy-efficient technologies from the first prototype to the standard maturity, we are looking for fellow designers of the technology(s) of tomorrow. Your tasks in detail: Conducting literature research on work-related topics Thermomechanical 3D-FEM and CFD analysis for various compounding methods Evaluation and interpretation of simulation results Validation of models using experiments The activity can begin from April 2026.

Course in Computational Science, Simulation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable course of studies FEM and CFD identifiers are required Theoretical and practical experience with welding and adhesive processes is desirable Knowledge with LS-DYNA is desirable Knowledge with Star-CCM+ is desirable Safe handling of MS Office Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Analytical and conceptual thinking Teamability and Structured Operation Communication skills and commitment Please note that your internship at this site must have a prescribed mandatory share.
