The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS Children's Village Sauerland supports stationary youth aids with a variety of offers in the area of SGB VIII. With around 140 employees, we improve the living situation of many children, young people and families every day. The offer portfolio includes children's village families, differentiated care offers of various housing groups, cared for housing, outpatient flexible assistance, animal-assisted pedagogy, three public daycare centres, two of them with connected family center and childcare projects.

For our SOS Children's Village Sauerland we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in full time or part-time (19.25 to 38.5 hours/Where) Your task: The children's and young people's group, including children's and young people from 6 years of age, offers a reliable medium to long-term place of life with and without hindrance. Social participation, individual development and personal resources are strengthened in an attentive, inclusive relationship. The young people are encouraged to develop confidence in their own skills, to act more independently and to take assistance if necessary. Located on the grounds of the SOS Children's Village Sauerland in Lüdenscheid, the house offers space for up to 7 children, including three places for young people with physical and/or light mental disabilities. As an educational specialist, you will take care of up to 7 children and adolescents in a stationary inclusive educational group together with your teammates. With your expertise and empathy, you promote the individual development of children and young people and work with the education and assistance planning. By building an emotionally reliable and stable relationship, you give children and adolescents guidance, security and support. You organize a structured daily routine and contribute to the design of an active group life. A good cooperation and cooperation with schools, doctors, therapists, other externally accompanying helpers and support systems as well as the respective parents is maintained by you. You carry out the necessary documentation and reporting, support the management in the further development of the educational work and participate in professional, internal bodies of the institution. You are conscientiously implementing the protection of children and persons.

Your qualifications and skills: You have a degree as an educator, a social pedagoguein, a childhood teacherin, a curative caregiverin or a rehabilitation education teacherin and have as much professional experience as possible. A corresponding additional qualification for the inclusively designed work is advantageous. You have the competence to integrate targeted support into everyday life and are primarily geared to the special needs of young people in our inclusive housing group. You bring commitment to the further development of our pedagogical work with the representatives. You are team-ready and have an independent working method at the same time. You are willing to take over the occasionally occurring domestic activities. You appreciate the possibility of flexible working hours, including the takeover of night and weekend services. Your handling of proximity and distance to the representatives is professional.
