About us and the working environment

The power plant e.V. is a socio-cultural centre in Chemnitz and an open house for people of all generations. The focus will be on children's and youth work, the youth club "O.K." as well as various leisure, educational and cultural activities.

The work is characterised by an open, low-swell approach where encounters, participation and individual support are at the forefront. Children, adolescents and young adults will find spaces for leisure, exchange and accompaniment in everyday life.

Your tasks

As part of the extra-curricular youth education, you will work together with the team in the open youth field as well as in projects and events.

These include in particular:

• Planning, design and implementation of open offers in the Youth Club and in the area of the school education

• Development and implementation of leisure, educational and group activities for children and young people

• Relationship work in open meeting and educational support in everyday life

• Advice and support for young people on personal, social or school issues

• to provide further assistance and support to offices and institutions if necessary

• Planning and implementation of projects, holiday offers and events

• Integration of parents or guardians in suitable situations

• Implementation of preventive content of child and youth protection in everyday work

• participation in community-oriented child and youth work in the organisation and Cooperation

• Participation in the conceptual development of open child and youth work in the house

• Cooperation with schools, youth assistance institutions, offices and other cooperation partners

• Documentation of pedagogical work and participation in reports and evaluations

• Participation in team processes, case meetings and project planning

• Participation in continuing and continuing training for further development

Your profile

• Complete study of social work / social education (Diplom, B.A. or comparable degree)

• Interest in open child and youth work as well as in socio-cultural work approaches

• Experience or willingness to work in open meetings and in project-oriented settings

• Ability to work independently and at the same time team-oriented

• Communication strength, empathy and safe handling of different situations of life

• Willingness to flexible working hours, also in afternoon and evening hours and occasionally on weekends

• Basic knowledge of SGB VIII is desirable

• Class B driving licence

Framework conditions

The remuneration is based on the public service collective agreement (TVöD).
