Where are you going? Their mission will focus mainly on the technical field of THWS Business School: You act as an IT administrator and manage the IT infrastructure as well as the licenses of the THWS Business School. These include procurement, installations, the service of hardware and software as well as license documentation. You support and advise teachers, their direct colleagues and students as first and second level support for technical and software-related issues. You manage, manage and maintain IT workstations, computer pools (Windows-PC/iMac) and modern laboratory facilities (https://business.thws.de/forschung/labore/). You are actively involved in the digitization and implementation of innovative, modern information and communication technology (such as applications, mobile devices, smartboards) and organize the borrowing of IT and media equipment in the facultous media laboratory. As a future body owner or future body owner, you are intensively involved in the THWS Business School and work with various departments/service units of the university (e.g. building management, university media center and center digital teaching) as well as the associated institutes of the THWS Business School (Institute for Applied Logistics and Institute Life Sciences, Emergency and Disaster Management). You are regularly exchanged with the central IT service center of the university for all central services and processes, in particular information security and data protection. You support the scientific and science-supporting staff in daily work, in particular in teaching and research, and contribute to a professional everyday university with their flexible and situative commitment.

What are you doing? You have successfully completed vocational training preferably in the fields of electrical, IT, media or technology and may already have relevant professional experience. You ideally have competence(s) in the administration, installation and configuration of hardware and software as well as in the handling of operating systems (Windows and/or macOS) and common client applications (e.g. Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud). Furthermore, there may already be knowledge of server administration as well as domain/network administration under Windows Active Directory (AD) and basic knowledge in the field of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
