Research Scientist Plasma Medicine (m/f/d)

Working in an interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists and medical professionals Planning, development and construction of complex experimental structures and test stands with mechanical, electronic and analytical components Design, dimensioning and realization of plasma sources and plasma applicators for use as a medical product Investigation of the effects of plasma sources on cell culture models (2D, 3D, organoidene, etc.) in cooperation with cell biological and microbiological cooperation partners Interdisciplinary projects with academic and industrial cooperation partners Scientific and technical documentation and presentation of test results Participation in conducting clinical studies in plasma medicine Creation of publications and conference contributions

Successfully completed studies or doctorate in the field of biomedicine, biochemistry or Biophysics, cell biology, engineering or an adjacent field Multiannual experience in plasma medicine at an academic institution or in industry Detailed knowledge of the construction and operation of plasma sources (e.g. DBD-CAP, plasma jets, noble gas plasmas) and their physical foundations Knowledge of biological effects of cold/low-thermic atmospheric plasmas on cell cultures and biological tissue Knowledge of medical applications of the above-mentioned plasmas Ideally practical laboratory experience with cell cultures (2D, 3D, organiodes, etc.) Experience in project management (classical, agile) is desirable Very good problem-solving orientation, a high degree of self-organisation and a structured working method Very good English skills in word and writing
