For our R&D Center in Braunschweig, we are looking for an entrepreneurially thinking leadership personality that continues to develop our technology and shifts the boundaries of the feasible. You take over the overall responsibility for R&D-Labor, Technikum, R&D Engineering and Quality Assurance and conduct these areas with a clear strategic objective: To continuously improve our technology to unlock new feedstocks and markets. We do not seek management of the status quo – but a personality that questiones and develops it in a targeted manner.

Your responsibility General management of R&D laboratory Technique / Pilot & Demo Production R&D Engineering

Professional and disciplinary leadership of interdisciplinary teams Development of a clear R&D strategy including Roadmap, KPIs and Priority derivation of hypotheses and experimental programs from feedstock analyses Transfer of laboratory and technical processes into robust, scalable production processes Control of Scale-up Projects Transfer of results to the first small-industrial plant that is currently under construction Close interface work with Business Development Process engineering Operations external research partners, in particular universities

P&L Responsibility for the R&D Center: Revenue generation preferably via publicly funded research projects and – in close cooperation with Business Development – via commercial use cases Representation of the R&D Center to the outside

Your profile 3–5 years of relevant leadership experience in the chemical or process engineering industry Experience in the management of R&D, technology or pilot plants Strong process thinking – you understand how Feedstock properties affect plant, operation and product quality Entrepreneurial Mindset with Design Wills Experience in the scale-up of processes Hands-on-Mentality: You are close to investment, team and technology Ability to classify technical decisions strategically and economically Communication strength across technical and hierarchical boundaries Very good knowledge of German and English
