Number: MER0003LHS The Inbound Logistics Engineering division plans and optimizes total cost minimal supply chain processes for assembly purchases from the supplier to the factory. The focus is on the overall economic consideration of material costs and logistics costs. Our team of Inbound Logistics Engineers and Series Coordinators will support you in the relevant planning tasks and will take part in planning tasks independently. As an inbound logistics engineer, we agree with our interface partners (development, purchasing, assembly, quality, intralogistics planning, cargo carrier planning, etc.) and determine the optimal processes involved. Here, for example, delivery forms (Just in sequence, Just in Time, etc.) Load carriers and transport costs planned, discussed and fixed. In our team we are responsible for the following modules: axles, brakes, suspension/damping, steering systems, high-voltage systems and components, as well as battery volumes. We are responsible for cooperation with the various battery projects for our new international battery factories. We focus on the cost optimization at the production line level by machining different control levers (variant management, localization, logistics-oriented product design, etc.).
