IT project employee with a focus on IT security for the energy industry (m/f/d)

IT-Project Assistant (m/d) with a focus on IT security for the area of Energy (Deleting group E 10 TVöD or the comparable grade according to BBesO) indefinitely at the office of Bonn Unit D 21 actively supports the digitalization of the energy industry and secures the national energy transition. We develop standards in the form of protection profiles and technical guidelines for the Smart Grid – especially for smart meter gateways and control devices. Our focus is on preventive security (“Security by Design”) and the interoperability of digital infrastructures. We analyse key technologies, identify areas of action and advise actors in implementing BSI standards. Our goal is to sustainably strengthen the resilience of energy networks and to create confidence in digital security of supply. Standardization: You support the development of IT security requirements for the smart meter gateway as well as other control components in the smart grid. Coordination: You accompany the coordination of technical standards with authorities and stakeholders from IT security, energy and consumer protection. Conformity check: You accompany manufacturer-side conformity assessment procedures and work closely with test points.

A completed study (Diplom [FH]/Bachelor) of the disciplines Computer Science (in particular IT-Safety/Cyber Security or Technical Informatics) or Business Informatics with a focus on IT-Safety or a comparable subject with a proven focus on IT-Safety/Cyber Security. Ideally, you have well-founded knowledge in information and communication technology as well as in the application of international safety criteria (common criteria are beneficial). Knowledge of basic cryptographic methods and the ability to methodically analyze complex technical processes and to evaluate them in terms of safety would be desirable. In addition, knowledge about the digitalization of the energy industry is desirable.
