The AWO district association Oberbayern e.V. is the carrier of the Senior Centre. Our AWO senior center Wolfratshausen with a focus on dementia is a special facility exclusively for the person suffering from this disease. In our house, with its directly and freely accessible garden, 69 residents are cultivated, supervised and accompanied in the fully-stationary area. There are also scattered short-term care places. We offer day care, night care and as a special feature weekend care. We work with a special care unit, i.e. a special dementia support that is oriented towards the gerontopsychiatric case management, the person-centric approach to Tom Kitwood and the biography and milieu-oriented approaches of Erwin Böhm. It is used in the form of reference care according to the system models of Monika Krohwinkel. In addition, day-structuring activities are offered by the team of social care. Target group in our home are people with medium to heavy dementia with/without challenging behavior.
