The Klinikum Lippe GmbH is the carrier of the two main hospitals Detmold and Lemgo as well as a child and youth psychiatry at the Bad Salzuflen site. As part of the University Hospital of Ostwestfalen-Lippe at Bielefeld University, Klinikum Lippe provides 1,224 plan beds annually in about 30 clinics and competence centres. 100,000 outpatient and around 50,000 inpatient patients. At the Institute of Pathology at the Klinikum Lippe-Detmold is a place as from 01.07.2025 Senior Consultant (m/w/d) to occupy. This call is aimed especially at young specialists in pathology or assistant physicians on their way there, who are looking for a long-term perspective in a top medical position. As one of the largest municipal hospitals in Germany, the Klinikum Lippe is an important health centre in North Rhine-Westphalia with sites in Detmold, Lemgo and Bad Salzuflen. As a maximum provider, it offers comprehensive medical care in numerous specialist areas. Since 2019 the Klinikum Lippe has been part of the University Hospital OWL of Bielefeld University. Together with the Evangelical Klinikum Bethel and the Klinikum Bielefeld, it forms the University Hospital OWL and contributes to university medical education and research in the region. At the Institute of Pathology, 20000 histological and 10000 cytological studies are carried out annually for stationary and outpatient patients as all areas of diagnostic pathology. The Head of the Institute has appointed the Chair of Pathology at the University of Bielefeld and is fully engaged in student teaching.
