As Principal Data Engineer (m/w/d), you are responsible for the technical development of our data platform and data architecture You design and implement scalable data pipelines as well as modern data products based on Azure and Databricks Ensure high data quality, reliability and performance along the entire Data Lifecycle You define standards for Data Engineering, Data Governance, Data Contracts and Observability and continuously develop them As a technical contact, you support the team in complex architectural and engineering decisions Together with relevant stakeholders, you shape the strategic development of our data platform In addition, you ask for compliance with data protection and compliance requirements in the data environment

You have a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a comparable qualification as well as several years of experience in Data Engineering You have very good knowledge of Python, PySpark, Apache Spark and Azure Data Engineering environment, especially Databricks and Delta Lake You bring experience in the development of scalable data pipelines, data architectures and data diversity standards Topics like Data Governance, GDPR, CI/CD and modern software engineering principles are very familiar to you You convince by strategic thinking and communication strength in German and English
