Data & AI Engineer (m/f/d)

As a holistic solution provider for vehicle laundry, we are driving the digitalization of the industry forward. To lift our processes to the next level, we are looking for a passionate software developer who makes our system and data landscape ready for a “gloss AI future”. This is what awaits you: You will unlock our existing system landscape with focus on IoT and telemetry data. In doing so, maintain the mechanisms for managing and integrating data, ensure data quality and design robust APIs as well as RAG pipelines. This ensures that our AI agents get to the required company data smoothly and securely. Thanks to your expertise in Data Analytics and Machine Learning, you are the technical link to our AI initiatives. You help to further develop our data platform, define architectural guidelines and design new, efficient data models. How to create the foundations that our structures can be used from scratch for data-based services and modern AI systems (data-to-AI architecture). You design and optimize our cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure & AWS) and implement high performance services around BI, data warehousing, machine learning and generative AI. To identify use cases that generate real business value through AI, work closely with agile, cross-functional teams and disciplines. Your solutions not only wash data, but improve the experience of millions of drivers worldwide.

What are you doing? You have a successfully completed study in the field of computer science, business informatics or comparable technical training. Funded programming knowledge (preferably Python), database know-how (SQL as well as NoSQL) and experience in API design (REST as well as GraphQL), system integration and connection of various data sources to AI models are of advantage. You have a strong architectural understanding for modern data platforms and ETL/ELT pipelines, ideally also in the handling of high-frequency telemetry and IoT data. Practical touch points with Microsoft Fabric are a big plus. However, your ability to make conceptual specifications and design data structures ''KI-ready''' is crucial. In the cloud, you are at home and have profound practical experience with cloud providers (preferably Microsoft Azure) as well as their services around Data Warehousing, Machine Learning and Generative AI. Ideally, you have already gained experience with platforms such as DataIku or native cloud solutions such as Azure Machine Learning. Agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain, MAF), RAG pipelines and LLMs are not foreign words for you. You have a hand-on mentality paired with a wide view for secure, scalable cloud architectures. Knowledge of data visualization and reporting with tools such as PowerBI (incl. DAX) or comparative AWS QuickSight are a great advantage.
