Number: MER000480B Mercedes-Benz AG combines over 100 years of history with the Berlin site. The Mercedes-Benz plant in Berlin was founded in 1902, the oldest producing plant in the Group. The focus of the site has so far been on the production of state-of-the-art powertrain components and parts produced with environmentally friendly manufacturing technologies. In the course of the transformation of the automotive industry, our work is also in a change, from pure production and assembly to a technology location with the center for digitizing the entire production network and a production location for high-performance electric motors. You get the opportunity to actively participate in this transformation as part of your internship. As part of your internship, you will gain interesting insights into strategic and operational project management as well as into internal processes and associated interface processes, for example in the areas of production, quality management, manufacturing planning, assembly planning, tool planning and logistics. Another exciting task field is active participation in the design and development of a machine database system (SQL). Within this project, production planning takes over three core tasks: As a project manager, the production planning is responsible for compliance with the future, economic and technical project objectives. Planning develops the process chains and acquires the necessary means of production. In the start-up, the planning is responsible for the optimization of the machines up to the achievement of the production characteristics. Although the project is still in the project phase, series production has already started. The focus of production planning is currently on the following topics: change planning (evaluation and derivation of measures) and process optimization.
