Senior Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

At OEV Online Services GmbH we develop the Digital Experience Platform (DXP) of public insurers – the technical basis for the digital customer interface between insurers and end customers. A hybrid CMS, a design system, high-performance microservices, an API-first architecture, and a headless content approach allow seamless control of content, services and brand worlds across all digital channels. To enable our product teams to continuously develop these DXP, it needs a platform that is safe, scalable and innovative. This is precisely the task of our DevOps Chapter: We are building and developing the technological basis on which innovation, automation and stability come together – and are becoming increasingly fused on cloud services and product development. From now on we are looking for you – one Senior Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) with background as an informant, specialist informant or IT system administrator, who actively develops and automates our AWS/Kubernetes platform (EKS, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD).

Cloud Platform Engineering: You develop and operate our AWS-based DXP platform (focus: EKS). You build stable clusters, plan upgrades and ensure performance and sustainability. Infrastructure as Code: You love automation. With Terraform, Helmet and GitLab CI/CD you bring infrastructure, deployments and releases to GitOps levels – reproducible, safe, elegant. Security & Resilience: You make security standard. Vulnerability Management, Policy Enforcement, Drift Remediation – everything automated, everything comprehensible. Monitoring & Observability: You create visibility. With OpenTelemetry, Prometheus or Grafana you build early warning systems, Alerts and Dashboards that can be more than colorful flashes. Compliance & ISO 27001: You keep the shop clean. Processes are auditable, documented and automated so that no audit welding drives. Performance & Platform Care: You don't just keep running, you better. Cluster upgrades, library management, performance tuning – you turn to the right screws. Team & Collaboration: You work closely with product teams, develop product-related infrastructure solutions and live true DevOps culture – open, pragmatic, collegial.

You have several years of experience in cloud or DevOps engineering – with Kubernetes and AWS in production. You know yourself in AWS (EKS, RDS, IAM, Networking) and you know how to scale clusters stable and safe. Terraform, Helmet and CI/CD-Pipelines (even with GitLab) are everyday for you, not a buzzword. Cloud security, compliance and automated platform operation are yours – not only after the go-live. You think in automation, scaling and infrastructure as code – manual processes are annoying. You speak fluently German (C1 or better) and actively engage in a German-speaking team. Nice-to-have You understand how containerized microservices are built and operated – e.g. with Spring Boot or Node.js – and can keep up application architecture and platform clean. You know how change and release management are in regulated environments. You are interested in AI-based process optimization and want to see how Machine Learning makes the operation smarter. You want to take responsibility in 24/7 operations in a perspective – planable, remunerated and technically clean.
