Skilled metal worker (m/f/d)

As a metal specialist at NOV Germany GmbH in Celle, you are responsible for a wide range of technical manufacturing and assembly activities within an international service company. The position includes the production, assembly, maintenance and quality testing of components, assemblies and technical systems in compliance with all quality, safety and operating requirements.

Main tasks

Production and assembly of components, assemblies and technical systems according to drawings, parts lists and work instructions in compliance with the quality requirements. Safe handling of workshop machines and hand tools such as drilling, sawing, cutting, grinding and, where appropriate, turning and milling. Executing measurement checks and functional checks with suitable measuring and testing means. Self-responsible guarantee of the quality of the work carried out. Detection, documentation and feedback of technical deviations, errors, changes and missing parts in coordination with design and supervisors. Maintenance, maintenance and easy maintenance of machinery, tools and equipment. Working together to improve workflows, manufacturing processes and work organisation. Support for additional specialist tasks in the field of manufacturing, assembly and workshop as well as the incorporation of new employees. Implementation of welding work according to existing qualifications and operational requirements.

Qualifications & skills Required qualifications

Complete vocational training in the metal sector, e.g. as plant mechanic, construction mechanic or comparable qualification. Multiannual professional experience in metalworking or mechanical manufacturing. Finded knowledge of metalworking as well as pronounced craftsmanship. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, piece lists and work instructions. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. German knowledge and basic English skills. Welding knowledge or existing welding qualifications are desirable.

Required knowledge

Technical English in word and writing. Experience in an industrial workshop or manufacturing environment. Ability to identify and solve technical problems independently.
