As a transmission system operator, we secure the power supply for around eleven million people in Baden-Württemberg. We create the infrastructure for the energy transition by maintaining, optimizing and expanding the high-voltage network according to needs. The operating asset management has the role of the internal client for network projects at TransnetBW. For this purpose, the regional target network necessary for the implementation of the energy transition in Baden-Württemberg, necessary intermediate networks, renewal requirements of our transmission network and further measures in the existing network are planned. These plans are incorporated into long-term concepts for the development of the substations and management systems and are transferred to projects. You develop target network concepts with other transmission system operators (ÜNB), distribution system operators (VNB) and other network customers. With the VNB, You identify the expansion requirements at the interface of the distribution network/transmission network – up to climate neutrality. You develop the data base with the network partners (VNB/ÜNB). You carry out network calculations (load flow and short-circuit calculations). You maintain the network expansion requirements in our software solution and thus represent the expansion requirement. You work with both network connection requests and network connection studies and work with the network development plan and the demand analyses. You visualize regional network concepts in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.

You have acquired a comparable qualification for a degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering or industrial engineering with a focus on electrical engineering and with many years of professional experience. You are familiar with the basic construction of European electricity networks and the concepts for short-circuit current and power flow calculation. You ideally have experience in network analysis and routine with software programs for network monitoring (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, INTEGRAL network calculation, Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP), Power System Simulator for Engineering (PSS/E), NEPLAN or similar) and can interpret network calculation results. You are characterized by critical thinking, communication joy and self-initiative. You possess knowledge of German and English in a reliable manner.
