An internationally oriented research centre needs professional and modern personnel work to successfully win, maintain and bind employees from all over the world. The HR department sees itself as a competent service provider and strategic partner for the specialist and staff departments of DESY in all personal business matters. Around 55 employees are currently engaged in recruiting, staff support and administration, human resources control, basic topics and service travel management. Together, You support around 2,900 employees at the Hamburg and Zeuthen sites – and thus actively shape the future of an international research centre.

Human resources management for our leading scientists and non-tariff employees Advising the decision-making bodies in vocation and stay negotiations clarification of key issues related to joint appeals Maintenance and management of all personnel master files and control of monthly pay accounting Conducting tests in SAP/HCM

Graduated higher education in business or administration or comparable discipline or equivalent expertise, skills and experience Good knowledge of labour law and personal care Knowledge of civil servant law Knowledge of social security and tax law Good IT skills, especially SAP/HCM Insufficient professional experience, e.g. in the care of personal measures in SAP Good communication skills and negotiation skills High service orientation and team skills Very good English skills
