System Engineer im Rechenzentrum (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. Together with us, you are worried about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. System Engineer (m/w/d) from now on and full time in Hilden. The Datacenter West department is also responsible for the operation of the infrastructure at the data center locations in Bonn, Cologne and Munich. As part of IT management, the technical operation in the computer rooms is ensured, the IT-technical construction of the computer rooms together with another department is designed and the subsequent implementation (rack construction and installation of all hardware components) is carried out. In the DC infrastructure, the industrial plants (climates and electricity) are planned and operated in cooperation with the corresponding specialist areas of the Bundeswehr.

Development of services in the context of hardware installations as well as processing of cross-disciplinary projects and topics Planning and implementation of infrastructure measures including Capacity planning and implementation in the data center Implementation and documentation of DGUV-V3 tests on IT components Coordination with departments and participation in change and incident management Developing technical solutions in compliance with relevant standards and their implementation in operation and projects

Completed electrotechnical or IT-related training, e.g. as a master:in, technician:in, IT-system electronics:in or specialist informatics:in system integration About 5 years of professional experience in the IT field as well as knowledge in electrical and climate technology, ideally also in DIN EN 50600 Experience in handling DCIM tools, ITIL V4 knowledge desirable Willingness to participate in call readiness, weekend maintenance and occasional travel Driving license class B and very good German skills A high degree of autonomy, organizational skills, communication skills and conscience
