Communications Engineering Engineer for IT Network & System Administration (a*)

Hamburger Energienetz GmbH is a privately organised energy distribution network operator owned by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Due to the merger of electricity grid Hamburg and gas grid Hamburg in September 2024, Hamburger Energienetz GmbH is Hamburg's largest energy distribution network computing company.

Your main tasks include analyzing, administering and implementing IT system components. You are responsible for the implementation of information security goals in the technical IT, in addition you take over the design and testing of network designs. In addition, you coordinate and plan the transmission-related issues, in particular for secondary-technical projects. You take over the preparation of the tender documents and are also responsible for the acceptance of foreign services. A focus of your activity is the development of measures to ensure quality, costs and appointments. The creation of technical documents is also part of your task. These documents are crucial for the traceability of changes and serve as an important source of information for all parties involved. The commitment to call is also part of your tasks.

You have a completed study of news technology, information technology or a comparable study direction. In your previous career you could already gain relevant professional experience in a comparable position. You will bring extensive knowledge of popular transmission techniques such as MPLS and IP, as well as work with routers, switches and firewalls. Embossed competencies in the common routing and transmission technology protocols characterize you. Practical experience in the application of valid information security standards, such as DIN ISO/IEC 27001, is also part of your qualifications.
