The Chair of Spatial Development deals with the spatial planning and development at the super-local level and in interaction with the spatially relevant specialist planning. The placeholder represents the field of spatial development in the regular bachelor's degree programs of the department as well as in the newly set up bachelor's degree programme for spatial planning and also in the master's degree program of the Department of Geoinformation. Required conditions: The recruitment requirements for professors are governed by § 25 Niedersächsisches Universitätsgesetz (NHG): a completed university degree by practical experience confirmed pedagogical-didactic suitability the special ability to intensify independent scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by an above-average doctorate special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a professional practice of at least five years from which at least three years have been carried out outside the higher education sector A completed university study of spatial planning, urban planning and regional planning, geography or a professionally related field is expected with a close relation to denomination.
