Internship Research & Development - Test Engineer Test Field Screw Technology (m/f/d)

Our Reinhold Würth Innovation Center CURIO offers you versatile practical activities. Be part of the development team “Consolidation Technology” and support the following tasks in a modern working environment: You will get deep insights into projects related to the development and optimization of screws and also work in the test field. Completely design CAD constructions and drawings, for example for wood, sheet metal or concrete screws, as well as for test equipment and tools with SolidWorks. You participate in the production of prototypes, for example on the rolling machine, and accompany their technical development. You also support the development of evaluation methods and the integration of results into existing evaluation tools. Your tasks include cooperation in the creation of specifications, project plans and release and admission documents. You support approval tests and agree with suppliers to test prototypes, first samples, zero series and serial products. Depending on the progress and interest, you have the opportunity to independently take over and advance a subproject.

Studies in the field of engineering (wood construction, construction, ...), mechanical engineering, process engineering, forming technology, material science or comparable study course. You have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office and work safely with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Knowledge in the field of CAD (e.g. SolidWorks) and product data management (PDM) are advantageous. You like to work handcrafted and implement tasks in practice. Good knowledge of statistics and the planning, implementation and evaluation of experiments are advantageous. You bring a high degree of autonomy, team skills and communication strength. You have knowledge of German (C1) in word and writing, as well as very good knowledge of English.

Your mission is rewarded. For a mandatory internship, you can expect 1,400 € gross per month. If you do a voluntary internship for four months or longer or write your thesis with us, you will receive € 2,420 gross per month.
