Claim Manager in Railway Operations (m/f/d)

KombiRail Europe B.V. is a Dutch railway company with safety certificates both in the Netherlands and in Germany. CombiRail Europe has developed into a reliable service provider with a focus on Duisburg in the last-mile service and the ranking service in the North Rhine-Westphalia region. We are now looking for a motivated claim manager for our railway company at the Duisburg site. In this function, you are responsible for the controlling, legal and economic processing of allowances, additional costs, insurance cases and defence of counterclaims in railway operations as well as in infrastructure and operating projects. Identification, assessment and enforcement of claims and contributions from railway operations, construction and maintenance projects Contract management & analysis of contracts (e.g. VOB, HOAI, EVB-IT, project-specific contracts) and railway-specific rules Documentation of performance changes, disabilities, disruptions and time shifts in railway operations Creation of claims and supplementary documents, including technical, commercial and legal reasons Examination and defence of claims of external contractors, infrastructure managers or customers Close cooperation with project management, operation, technology, purchasing and finance Support in contract negotiations, arbitrations and, where appropriate, out-of-court disputes settlement of insurance cases until final regulation Establishment and maintenance of a claim and risk management system Reporting on opportunities, risks and financial impact on management

Technical requirements Completed studies in the field of civil engineering, transport engineering, economic engineering, law or comparable qualifications Multiannual professional experience in claim, contract or after-sales management, ideally in railway or infrastructure Very good knowledge in VOB/B, HGB, BGB, contract law, railway operations and interfaces, as well as project and risk management Safe handling of MS Office, especially Sharepoint and ideally project management tools Personal competencies Analytical thinking and structured working Negotiation and enforcement Communication strength at all levels High economic and legal sensitivity Loadability and conflictability Self-conscient, responsible operation
