Become part of our global team: You make the difference – YOU MAKE US The development (electrical) axles, gearboxes and HV components are responsible for the production of several aggregates and components both for the conventional and electrified drivetrain for the global Daimler Truck vehicle portfolio. In addition to manual transmissions, non-driven axles and high-voltage electrical components, such as charging units and DC/DC converters, these include electrical axles incl. the drive units consisting of an electric motor and traction inverter. These will be responsible for the concept, in addition to the design and realization, to the validation, vehicle integration and approval. Our team is responsible for the development of the required electrical machines and is responsible for the current series products such as the electric axis from the eActros 600, as well as for pre-development and future topics in the field of material selection, motor topologies and cooling technologies. As an assessment basis for future product separations, we also want to conceptualize, carry out and evaluate experiments in addition to the construction of suitable simulation models.
