Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d)

At Hellmann we develop our new Transport Management System – one of the most ambitious software projects in our company history. For this we are looking for experienced developers who not only write code, but also think about software architecture and really want to understand the logistics domain. You work in a cross-functional product team with product owners, UX designers and other developers. Self-organization is not a flea with us – you take responsibility from conception to operation. You build it, you run it.

Backend: Java, Kotlin, Kafka (Event Streaming) Frontend: Angular, Angular Material Databases: MongoDB / DocumentDB, PostgreSQL Platform: AWS, Kubernetes Observability: Prometheus, Grafana

You develop backend services You develop and implement microservices that reflect our logistics processes You work closely with logistics experts to find the right solutions You actively engage in architectural decisions and question existing approaches constructively You promote code quality through reviews, pair programming and the establishment of meaningful standards You support the front-end development as needed

Forced required: Multiannual, well-founded experience in backend development with Java and/or Kotlin At least resilient experience in the development of front-ends with TypeScript Deep understanding of microservice architectures – not only in implementation, but also in design Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, paired with the ability to critically evaluate their use Knowledge of cloud-native development (AWS, Kubernetes) Strong interest in software architecture and the willingness to take responsibility for it Curiosity for logistics domains and desire to penetrate technical relationships Advantage: Experience with Event-Driven Architecture and Kafka Experience with Angular Experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana Background in domain drives design
