CIE Officer (m/f/d) Institute of Geo-Hydroinformatics Remuneration EG 9a TV-L ID 15426TB9 Start of employment as soon as possible Application deadline 17.07.2026 Scope part time (50 %), fixed-term until 30.09.2030 Hamburg University of Technology, in collaboration with Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, has established the DFG-funded Research Training Group “Climate-Informed Engineering” (www.tuhh.de/cie). In this context, we are seeking a CIE Officer to support the Graduate School's spokesperson as well as the Research Training Group as a whole in the successful implementation of the project proposal. This implies coordination and facilitating communication among the participating institutes, partners, researchers and the university administration. In addition, the CIE Officer will be responsible for coordinating administrative and organisational tasks and will play a key role in ensuring compliance with administrative requirements, data protection regulations, and quality management standards.

Coordination & organization of all activities within the Graduate School among the participating institutes and partners events and travel Contribute to the development of the curriculum for the Graduate School including coordination & documentation of teaching activities Ensuring & supporting data and quality management as well as the compensation of allocated funds between the institutes and the administration Managing the public profile and visibility of the Graduate School Supporting the team with general administrative tasks as deemed necessary by the spokesperson of the Graduate School

Requirements Completed training or apprenticeship in an administrative or office-related commercial profession or Professional knowledge equivalent to the vocational training Desirable knowledge and personal skills Excellent knowledge of English (oral/written) and good knowledge of German (oral/written) Very good communication, organization and coordination skills Professional with MS Office programs Experience in research and academic administration will be an advantage
