The Clinic for Anesthesia, Intensive Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Pain Therapy is responsible for the central surgery with 14 operating rooms (including 1 hybrid surgery) as well as several interventional or diagnostic external sites, the wake-up room with 25 beds, the shock room and the interdisciplinary intensive care unit with 42 beds (30 beds intensive + 12 beds IMC). She organizes the hospital's emergency medical facility and participates in the emergency medical service. In the anaesthesia approx. 17000 Anesthesia services performed in the disciplines General and Visceral Surgery, Thorax Surgery, Trauma Surgery and Orthopaedics, Vascular Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Neurosurgery, Neck-Nasen-Ohrene-Heilkunde, Paediatrics, Cardiology, Pneumology, Internal Medicine and Neurology. At the local intensive and IMC station will be approx. 4000 patients treated annually under the direction of anaesthesia. All common diagnostic, intervention and organ replacement methods including ECMO are available. The Pain Therapy section offers a specialized starting point for patients with chronic pain. In the context of multimodal therapy concepts, it offers an extensive range of clinical and apparatus pain diagnosis and guidance treatments including the most modern neuromodulative methods.
