The Johanniter-Krankenhaus in Stendal, the main hospital and the Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus of the University of Magdeburg, is looking for a senior physician (m/w/d) for Geriatrie at the next possible time for Stendal – full-time with 39 hours a week or part-time after agreement. The Hanseatic city of Stendal (about 39,000 inhabitants) is located 55 km north of Magdeburg in the charming Elb landscape of the Altmark. With the IC/ICE connection you can reach Berlin (40 min. to Spandau), Wolfsburg (30 min.) and Hanover (65 min.) quickly and conveniently. Stendal Hospital of Stendal With around 800 employees, the Stendal Hospital is one of the most important health centres in the region. Zirka 50,000 patients are hospitalized and outpatient at our center hospital. Our medical professionals carry out more than 8,000 operations a year. Around 400 beds are available. As an academic teaching hospital of the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg, we form doctors. At the same time, we have a nursing school. We also offer training places in other areas. The Geriatrie department looks back on a long tradition in Stendal and is currently embedded in the newly established clinic for neurology and geriatrics. A Senior Physician (m/w/d) is looking for a reinforcement of the geriatric team in the increasingly extensive tasks in this field. The Geriatrie department works closely with the clinic for accident and restoration surgery, we are certified as an age trauma center (ATZ). The Department of Neurology and Geriatrie is embedded in a modern house, which is represented in the field of internal medicine by clinics for cardiology, gastroenterology and hematology/oncology, supplemented by departments for palliative medicine and rheumatology. All clinics have close cooperation. Senior Consultant (m/w/d) for Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine and Geriatry, General Medicine or Neurology with Approbation and comprehensive clinical experience. An open-minded and team-capable personality with organizational talent, who likes to take responsibility, introduces own ideas into our dedicated and open-minded team and actively contributes to the further development of the clinic.
