In the IT department, we are responsible for the central operation, the further development and advice on IT infrastructures and applications at the HZB. As a SAP Systems Engineer (w/m/d), you work in a dedicated IT team and drive digitalization in science, technology and administration with modern technologies. SAP is the strategic tool for managing digitalization and is continuously evolving. Operation, administration and analysis, optimization and continuous development of the SAP system landscape (SAP ERP, S/4HANA, SAP BTP) active participation in S/4HANA transformation, cooperation in SAP projects and evaluation of technical innovations for IT operation Organisation, control and implementation of updates, migrations, upgrades, maintenance and monitoring, performance optimization and error analysis Implementation of SAP cloud technologies based on SAP BTP as well as designing technical concepts, architectures, integrations and interfaces Support and training of SAP users Optimization of SAP Second Level Support close cooperation with departments and coordination of internal and external service providers

completed studies of (economic) informatics or comparable qualification with professional experience in SAP basic administration knowledge required in SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA Experience in second-level support and basic knowledge in IT service management (ITSM) are required Knowledge of SAP BTP and SAP Analytics Cloud is desirable analytical, structured functioning, high problem-solving competence, communication strength and joy in interdisciplinary cooperation fluent knowledge of German (C1 level) and good knowledge of English (B2 level) are provided for smooth communication at national and international level
