The position: The Category Manager ENERGY & TEA holds end-to-end responsibility for the total ENERGY & TEA category strategy across all banners, driving the commercial category agenda with mid- and senior-level management. He/She acts as a trusted advisor, ensuring category growth and building category development capabilities to support PepsiCo's growth. He/She provides customer teams and customers with insights and recommendations to accelerate growth of PepsiCo's ENERGY & TEA category and, in doing so, helps drive PepsiCo sales. .

Category expert (internal)
Serves as the internal knowledge hub and category expert for a specific category across the organization (Marketing, Sales, Commercialization, Revenue Management, Sales Finance) and for selected retailers. Embeds the end-to-end brand mindset across projects and day-to-day work, partnering closely with Account Management (Sales) and Marketing to translate Category Plans into strong Account Plans (AOP). Develops a point of view on ENERGY & TEA category shipments and forecasts to deliver national AOP, and can clearly explain key shipment drivers and drainers across retailers to mid- and senior level management. Leads the customer and channel category agenda in the short and long term, leveraging category insights derived from multiple sources (e.g., retailer, shopper, and consumer trends; Nielsen, GfK, and other relevant insight providers. Leads customer category and occasion-based projects within a multidisciplinary team. Participates in cross-functional Brand and Account Teams by identifying issues, providing high-quality insights and guidance, and supporting the development of relevant new product innovations (NPDs). Co-leads strategic decisions on innovation opportunities and implementation strategies as part of the annual planning cycle (ACP/AOP). Develops the category assortment and shelving strategy, providing clear recommendations on SKU rationalization, facings vs. variety, OOS analysis, planograms, game-planning, SRP, etc. Collaborates with Space Management to develop customer-specific plans.
Expert Advisor to role Customers (external)
Acts as a trusted advisor to customers, affecting and long-term growth plans with mid- and senior-level management. Leads the category agenda all ENERGY & TEA brands and partners on store projects. Drives the development of a clear category vision across PepsiCo's ENERGY & TEA category and sales channels. Brings to innovative retailer mindset, creating compelling selling stories grounded in customer and market data and translated into shopper and consumer insights. Initiates and leads category management projects with customers to unlock growth opportunities and deliver measurable results-improving assortment, shelf execution, and promotional effectiveness-while providing actionable insights to Demand Acceleration (DX) and Sales. Works directly with customers, or via sales partners, to present category plans, reviews, and growth opportunities. Serves as a key contributor to the preparation of national customer T2T Senior Management meetings.
University degree preferred in Applied Economics, Business, or Management (as a major or minor); other educational backgrounds to be considered. ~5+ years of experience in Category Management, Trade Marketing, Sales, or a close related function. Languages: Business-fluent German and English. Strong FMCG expertise, including deep shopper insights and strong customer/retail landscape knowledge. Strong overall business acumen with a focus on business development and marketing functions; solid understanding of Finance, Supply Chain, and Field Sales* needs and drivers. Excellent MS Office skills. Strong proficiency in Nielsen/YouGov/etc. tools and customer portals. .
