Your job

Since 2023, Schleswig-Holstein Netz GmbH has been working together with its E.ON group nurses on the further development of the system management systems. Active cooperation in the Group project and subsequent introduction of the new systems are essential for the success of the modern network management of the Energiewende. As a DevOps Engineer, you develop the platform services for a new Kubernetes platform for all German E.ON network companies in a young team from other DevOps Engineers. In addition to the development, you are responsible for the deployment and operation of these platform services together with the team.

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation and optimization of data streams and APIs within the DevOps environment. The role includes the integration of real-time data processing systems, ensuring the high availability and scalability of data pipelines and optimizing the service API architecture

• You are responsible for the development and implementation of data streaming architectures for real-time processing. To this end, the optimization and management of service APIs also addresses the efficient data provision.
• You set high standards: In close cooperation with other colleagues, you will integrate data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink or Spark Streaming. You are proactive in designing and implementing data stream monitoring and analysis to improve system performance.
• You're packing up: You are safe in handling user requirements and already have experience in handling CI/CD pipelines such as Argo CD.
• You are present: You take the presentation of concepts and results for different target groups and business areas, e.g. in the E.ON Group Project and also in cooperation with other interfaces.
• You are competent contact person: In close cooperation with the interfaces with the SH network and other E.ON Group Sisters in the Group Project, you are looking for targeted communication and a very close cooperation to promote container operation, CI/CD pipelines and platform integration.

Your profile

• You have a degree in the fields of information technology, computer science/informatics, economic engineering or similar disciplines or a comparable qualification.
• You bring a strong understanding of DevOps principles and have experiences with CI/CD pipelines such as Argo CD and the deployment and operation of containers on a K8s platform.
• You have profound knowledge in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript or C#.
• You bring experience in the development and implementation of data streaming solutions and API design.
• You are safe in handling requirements and their documentation with collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira.
• You are an enthusiastic networker and have fun to exchange and work with colleagues across corporate boundaries.
• Authentic communication is one of your strengths.
• You may participate in the standby service.
• You bring safe German knowledge (min. B2 with you).

• Basic knowledge of configurations in YAML and helmet charts.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
